Good morning.
It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to µ-Ziq, an electronic music project from Englishman Mike Paradinas. We first recommended his music a little over a year ago. In the ‘90s, he was part of the dance music scene in London and founded the record label Planet Mu. His 1997 record Lunatic Harness was classified as “drill ‘n’ bass” and compared to Aphex Twin and Squarepusher. But first we’re playing Grush, his new LP just out last week. It’s by turns mellow and frenetic, like a supercomputer processing a broad spectrum of human moods.
Grush - µ-Ziq (60m, track 13 has vocal samples)
