Today we’re listening to zakè, an ambient music producer from Indianapolis. We last recommended his music back in 2021. He loops slow-moving synth lines and complements them with subtle supporting sounds and layers of crackling static. A member of the collective Past Inside the Present, zakè frequently collaborates with other ambient artists such as T.R. Jordan, marine eyes, and Angela Winter. We’re starting with one such collaboration, Atonements, which he released with the composer Isaac Helsen this past June. We’re also re-upping his 2020 collaboration with the artist 36, Stasis Sounds for Long-Distance Space Travel.
