Good morning.
Today we’re listening to Tomasz Bednarczyk, a Polish electronic musician based in Wrocław. Since the mid-2000s he’s released minimalist ambient compositions, most notably on Room40 and 12k, two of our favorite labels. We’re first playing a 2023 record of his, Catbient, a collection of 18 tracks across which six core compositions are each varied twice. We’re also playing Illustrations for Those Who from 2018, which incorporates field sounds like river waves and rain and has a subtle layer of fuzzy noise.
