Good morning.
Today we’re listening to Tarentel, a post-rock band from San Francisco. Thanks to for the recommendation. In 1995, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma and Danny Grody started recording long instrumental jams that incorporated elements of psychedelic and jazz influences. Other members of the band rotated in and out until the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2009. We’re starting with Tarentel’s debut LP from 1999, From Bone to Satellite, which has been placed in post-rock canons and has several references to 2001: A Space Odyssey, including its title. We’re also playing their 2002 follow-up LP, Ephemera, which is more subdued and occasionally detours into different musical terrain (notably drone).
From Bone to Satellite - Tarentel (70m, no vocals except Carl Sagan’s on track 4)

Ephemera - Tarentel (70m, no vocals but a bunch of silence at the end of track 2)

Have a fantastic Thursday.
So sorry I missed your taking up my recommendation, was a crazy week back then. And glad to be introduced to a recording I don't know yet.
