Today we’re listening to Snufmumriko, a Swedish ambient musician based in Gothenburg. There isn’t much information available publicly about the artist. Since 2018, he’s put out three albums including one EP. He uses synth loops, field recordings, and subtle percussion to create immersive atmospheres with embedded rhythm. We’re playing two of his records. Sekunder, Eoner from 2019 is our favorite and first pick. Radio Mnemosyne from last year makes additional use of silence, combining it with his synths’ “organic undulations,” to quote Pitchfork.
