Good morning.
Today we’re listening to an album: ‘Round Midnight, the original soundtrack of the 1986 movie of the same name. This album was brought to our attention by the YouTube channel Kenny's Audiophile Record Reviews. Kenny made the case that ‘Round Midnight is “the most underrated jazz album of all time” because of its all-star cast. This one record has Chet Baker (trumpet), Herbie Hancock (piano), Bobby Hutcherson (vibes), Wayne Shorter (sax), Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Billy Higgins (drums), Dexter Gordon (sax), Cedar Walton (piano), and more. The record was produced by Hancock, whom we’ve recommended twice before, and who acts in the movie alongside several other players.

Have a great Thursday.
A triumph for Gordon as both a musician and an actor (he earned an Academy Award nomination).
