Pinkcourtesyphone
Good morning.
Today we’re listening to Pinkcourtesyphone, an American experimental electronic artist from Washington, D.C. Growing up in the suburbs, the artist rebelled against his environment but absorbed specific sound references, such as the “reverb of drained pools.”1 Pinkcourtesyphone’s music is on the ambient end of ambient, big soundscapes made from just a few notes or samples, with a nostalgic crackling overlay. We’re playing two LPs: leaving everything to be desired from 2020 and Indelicate Slices from 2017. The former reminds us of The Caretaker.

Have a great start to your week.
