Good morning.
Today we’re listening to Minwhi Lee, a Korean composer, guitarist, and singer from Anyang. Born in 1989, she attended the Korean National University of Arts where she co-founded the band Mukimukimanmansu.1 She’s been influenced by Slint, Weyes Blood, Jimi Hendrix, and Elliott Smith, as she told Gimbab Records a couple years ago. Her original soundtrack for the TV show One Day Off came out in June of last year. It’s an eclectic collection with Pink Panter intrigue numbers, Khruangbin-like chill jams, Randy Newman-style earworms, ‘90s alt instrumentals, Air-level lush studio recordings, modern classical pieces, bossanova, and more. We’re also playing Hometown to Come, a folk album she released this past November.
One Day Off - Minwhi Lee (70m, vocals on tracks 14, 17, 36, 37)

Have a great Thursday.
I love "One Day Off" so much! It leaps across genres and forms yet also sounds like a warm hug in a spring garden. It took me two workdays to listen to all the songs.
