It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to J. Albert, an electronic music producer from Florida. We discovered his music via ’s recent First Floor post. Now based in New York, J. Albert channels his oceanside upbringing into music production with meticulous sound designs that hiss and swirl.1 His new album, I want to be good so bad, just came out in July, and demonstrates this aqueous style reminiscent of Purelink. We’re also playing his 2021 record, Young American Artist, a series of sonic explorations set to a mellower beat.
