Today we are listening to Fursat FM, the Goa-based multi-instrumentalist, who is also one of the proficient band members of the Indian jazz/pop band Peter Cat Recording Co. Fursat FM composes sonic landscapes with layers of distinctive field recordings, ambient music, and noise alongside jazz/folk-inspired improvisations on wind and keyboard instruments. Slow-paced movements, unconventional forms, and experimentation bring in a kind of electro-acoustic music simmering in both the complexity and simplicity of musical expression. Their live sets are known to create intimate and reflective listening spaces.
