Good morning.
Today’s mix opens with the world premiere of Flow State Records 007: Seconds, the second album from Seconds. That’s the first 40 minutes. The remaining two hours are “kinetic ambient” tracks that influenced the record, mixed by the artist. First there’s classic minimalist influences from Moondog, Steve Reich, and Kraftwerk. Then we get into more recent motoric electronic from Oneohtrix Point Never, Nils Frahm, and Tim Hecker. Then there’s some actual techno from Max Cooper and Avalon Emerson. There’s a brief passage of footwork music – which inspired the 160BPM of Seconds – from DJs Paypal, Spinn, and Rashad. We close out with a plea from Can (which has the only vocals of the mix). We hope you enjoy.
