Good morning.
Today we’re listening to Eleh, an American ambient musician. Pronounced “Ella,”1 Eleh uses modular synths to linger on single tones, stretching them out and blending them slowly. “The microscopic becomes symphonic, subtle gradations in tone become immense, pulse waves become rhythm,” the New York Times wrote of his 2012 performance in Brooklyn. We’re first playing his latest LP, Pitreleh, a collaboration with composer Duane Pitre, which came out in February. We’re also playing Radiant Intervals I, a 2016 collection of four longform drone works.

We wish you a great start to your week.
I "liked" because of its interesting status; very weirdly situated, at least for me. Definitely not ideal work music - I find myself attending too much to shifting harmonics and tone. So even though it lacks beats or vocals, or even melody, it is distracting for me. Could make for great meditation/contemplation sound piece. Glad for the introduction, whatever my response.
