Good morning.
It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to 2562, a Dutch electronic music producer from The Hague. We were reminded of his music via the
post in which Darwin spotlights the track “Basin Dub.” That one’s off the 2008 LP Aerial, which is primarily dubstep, though there are traces of techno and house. We’re also playing 2009’s Unbalance, which brings in more broken beat formats and uses samples more prominently. “Dinosaur” is the track we would spotlight on that record, if asked. 2562 also recorded a pretty fascinating Boiler Room set in Berlin back in 2012, which is available on YouTube.Aerial - 2562 (50m, no vocals)

Unbalance - 2562 (70m, vocal samples on track 3)
Spotify / Apple Music / YouTube Music / Amazon Music / Bandcamp / Tidal
Have a swell weekend.
"Aerial" is an underrated classic of dubby electronic music. Thanks to Shawn for digging this up and to you for spreading the vibes.
